I recently finished this book about the Dutch resistance during WWII. It starts out way before the war, which gives helpful context about the Christian family that is the focus of the book and their community. Then come accounts of how the family hid their compatriots, the various complicated logistics involved in shuttling people to hiding places elsewhere as well, and then eventually the road to prison and ultimately a concentration camp. Understandably, it’s a tough read, but I found it very worthwhile.
