Obituaries
James Pearce
The Chief Constable regrets to inform you of the sad death of our former colleague James Pearce who retired as a Constable in 1994 and served at Witham & Chelmsford. He then re-joined as a support staff member as a civilian driver to Chief Officers. He passed away on the 20 July 2022 aged 82 years. He leaves a widow Iris.
David Ware
The Chief Constable regrets to inform you of the sad death of our former colleague Dave Ware who retired as a Constable in 1997 and served at Witham & Braintree. He re-joined as a support staff member and worked in the Crime Bureau. He passed away on the 4 July 2022 aged 66 years. His funeral has already taken place.

Henry Ernest Wright who served with River Colne Police - Colchester Borough and died on 1 August 1899.
James Edmund Stone who served with Essex County Constabulary from 8 December 1914 and died on 2 August 1916.

District editions of Dispatch
Following the success of our weekly e-newsletter, we are pleased to be offering local editions, produced by your local police officers.
Published every Wednesday, the local editions of Dispatch will focus on your community and what’s been happening. These local editions will offer crime prevention advice relevant to the area, as well as information about upcoming community events, local policing news and more. 
We will be launching a new edition of Dispatch every fortnight until the new year, when all 14 of our districts will have their very own edition of Dispatch.
