What a busy week it’s been, locked down in my garage!

😎WHAT I’VE BEEN WORKING ON:
-Developing the world’s best Cosmetic Neurology/Nootropics masterclass on the web (More info coming soon).
-Designing custom made Nootropic stacks for my international clients.
-Finalising my literature reviews for my BHSc. Naturopathy Degree.
-Cranking out 20K steps per day!

This week, I did an interview with a friend of mine Krystian, where we discussed all about neurotransmitters, motivation, mood and behaviours.

😎FOCUS OF THE WEEK:
Anyway, in this week’s newsletter instalment, I want to focus my attention on
the building blocks of being able to FEEL good.
Let’s be critical here.
📌I can personally create a depressive state, if I choose to eat poorly and induce severe nutrient imbalances/deficiencies.
So with that said, I want to help educate you about the importance of ensuring ALL your nutrient demands are met. Specifically, I want to focus on Iron, since this is possibly the most common nutrient deficiency worldwide.

🛑 IRON DEFICIENCY INCREASES NOREPINEPHRINE:
Firstly, norepinephrine is a neurotransmitter that can make one anxious, nervous and TENSE in social situations.
It however, is also critical for arousal and discipline.
But what I found most fascinating about this study was that when we are iron deficient, the body creates LESS dopamine and then tries to compensate by creating MORE norepinephrine! This is one of the many mechanisms behind how LOW iron can make us feel terrible.
❌DO YOU NO LONGER GET A KICK FROM?
-Stimulants (Such as caffeine).
-Chocolate.
-Sugar.
-Other things that should give you pleasure/motivation.

If this has response has faded, then you’re likely suffering from some degree of anhedonia (Inability to experience pleasure).

I will be pioneering ways to restore this SPARK FOR LIFE in my up and coming Cosmetic Neurology Masterclass, but for now, all I can say is…Make sure you’re getting SUFFICIENT Iron.

Well, not only is Iron important, but Ferritin, Transferrin and Transferrin Saturation are also extremely critical to balance.
