  • Top-Policy: New legislative draft by the Ministry of Ecology and Environment revealed further details of the National Emission Trading Scheme.
  • WIND: Dongfang Electric took a giant leap in onshore wind by shipping out the first 10 MW prototype and in offshore wind by successfully developing the 5.5MW direct-drive wind turbine generator.
  • HYDROGEN: Great Wall Motors rolled out a hydrogen strategy aiming ambitiously in fuel cell vehicles, while Sinopec is accelerating its hydrogen supply centre project.
  • STORAGE: China Energy Engineering Investment Corporation to invest ¥12 bn to construct a GW-level integrated energy base in northwestern Heilongjiang Province.
