The electioneering is done. The floors of the various election rallies have been swept, the speakers have been packed away and final t-shirts have been handed out. The power as the voter, that you have always had, is now less than 48 hours away. But many will ask, will the period ahead be better or worse?

Throughout the buildup to elections, many of the politicians have told the nation about the changes they will bring in, the politicians they will hold to account, the jobs they will create. But, when research company MarkData polled voters and possible voters and asked them if they feel confident about the future, this was the response…

TODAY IS EXTRA SPECIAL!
While the rest of us will line up from 7am on Wednesday, today special votes will be collected at pre-appointed home visits and at various voting stations. A total of 40,000 home visits are planned for today and tomorrow as well as 25,000 anticipated at special voting stations.

The IEC has always maintained it is ready for the election, but the commission is having to deal with a rather large problem of permanent workers threatening to down tools.
