I skipped a week! On purpose!
I needed space.
It’s not that I was doing too much really, it was more like, I felt like I needed the space, between this thing and that thing…maybe it has to do with the fact that I had just finished the audiobook Body Thrive (and that took it out of me.)
OR maybe the teachings within the book itself really landed - yet *again.*
Regardless, I am here now!

Staying on the Body Thrive train, one of the habits Cate talks about is “Start the day right.”
“Once you’re up and at ’em, sip or guzzle about a quart of water, between room temperature and tea-water hot. The purpose of this water is to flush your inner toilet.”
Ok. So. This has been one of the main habits that I’ve been working on for almost 2 years. I had let go of the habit, and am back on the train.
Here’s how I go about it: I super boil a quart of water the night before. I put it in my beloved water bottle.
In the morning, the temperature has dropped enough that it’s still ‘hot,’ but perfectly so. I then sip, sip, sip and as water starts to drop even more in temperature, I guzzle.
The magic tool? My thermos! I own this one in 32 oz
I also own a 16 oz for non-water drinks. The flask is by far the number one reason that I can be consistent with my water drinking in the morning. I set myself up for success!!!

I’ve been feeling desire for more. It’s been happening for a while. What’s been keeping me back? My lack of action.
I get very complacent or overwhelmed by all the ‘stuff’ I have to do, and in the end, I don’t do ANYTHING.
I shifted that last week. I forced myself to take very determined and deliberate actions and they forced me to deal with other things that haven’t been done, one of them was finally getting this 2-YEAR-OLD BLOG POST (yes, two years old) out of my computer and onto my site.
It is LONG, over 3000 words and it’s totally worth the read, specifically for those that are considering starting a podcast.
In the article, I address things that I feel are never touched on, on most how-to podcasting articles. Check it out! And if you like it, feel free to share it!

I saw this thing and I really wanted it. I thought it would make eating so fun for my girls! TRICERATACO
That’s it!
Hope you’re enjoying August!

PS. I had the most incredible conversation about things that truly matter to me, both in motherhood, but most importantly in podcasting. Please listen to this conversation if you ready to shift the narrative about your work and how we can focus on language that you can repeat.

Elsie's Emergency Excitement 💙 My latest obsessions and/or excitement about anything & everything (with a GIANT #podcasting industry bias): health, tech, software, books, TV shows, products, food, services, make-up, whatever is floating my boat right now ❇️ Excitement = spontaneous, because in all honesty, my excitement is lost within a few weeks or so...um...#fickle BUT STILL in the moment I am truly o.b.s.s.e.s.s.e.d.
