Elsie | EK13 Photography Newsletter
These are my latest photography (or otherwise) related news and events.

Hey Happy People,
Welcome to my first ever newsletter.
I have to thank Shaun (@shotbyshaun on Twitter) for steering me into this direction of getting my own newsletter up and running and for recommending Revue.
As I am new to this, I will just share what I can for now as I figure out my structure for future newsletters. Also, I am still deciding whether to do this weekly or monthly, but the way my life is currently, I think I am going to stick with a monthly newsletter. 😅
And with that said, happy reading and thank you for subscribing!

Exhibition News
I currently have two of my photos being exhibited - one in New York, USA and the other will be showcased in Freiburg, Germany.
The photograph in New York is in the Photoville ‘10 Year Anniversary’ Festival in a showcase curated by Polly Irungu for the Black Women Photographers first ever group exhibition called Self Preservation. The exhibition is still ongoing until 1st December 2021.

My photograph is the one on the bottom left of this installation image.
The other image was exhibited in Berlin, Germany in September as part of The Journal Collective video presentation of 400+ women photographers from all over the world at the Willy-Brandt-Haus.

Screening of IFE NKILI at The Hackney Social
IFE NKILI is an annual Black women’s arts festival curated and produced by Chin We celebrating the beauty of Black culture, identity and heritage. “Ife Nkili” is a phrase from the Igbo tribe in Nigeria that means “Beauty to behold”. The festival showcases 17 beautiful Black women artists across the arts with successful screenings on YouTube Live, Twitter Live and Everyman Cinema Broadgate.
In November, there will be another opportunity to view the festival at Hackney Social on the 30th. Book your tickets here.
