Insightful newsletter of Drishtikone
We are all so focused on our careers and making money that we have never taken those small paths that came on the side of our road to smell the wild flowers.
When we are on the death bed and looking back at life, we will see only one noisy, yet lonely road that went all the way back with all of the same things - money, success, heart-burns, highs and lows, family and struggles… and we would not find any thing that we saw which was different throughout. Everything familiar and similar.
That is why reading and engaging with things indiscriminately is something that I have enjoyed the most. Things that have no relationship to my work or job or even interests are the topics that have enriched my life the most. Those are things that take me to those sweet smelling wild flowers that I may have missed otherwise.
While you walk the road. Stop to take that small rarely walked diversion and watch the stream flow, birds chirping and small lichens coloring up the rocks. That may not be what you set out to see but that is life. Raw beautiful life. Enjoy it.

devastation of coronavirus
Researchers from the University of Sydney have created a detailed model of the global economy. They have found that the coronavirus pandemic and measures to slow its spread cost the global economy $3.8 trillion (£3 trillion), and put 147 million people out of work. The sector that has been worst hit is the travel industry of course. But the overall impact on the global economy is devastating. (Source)
The study found that the global consumption had the largest impact as it dropped by 4.2 per cent - or about $3.8 trillion - equal to the gross domestic product of Germany.
More than 147 million people lost their livelihoods around the world, resulting in a cut in wage income from salaries of $2.1 trillion - or six per cent of all wage income globally.
And, we are nowhere near done by the full fury of Coronavirus, yet.
death, near death and life
What happens when a person is dying? When the life force (prana) slips from the body? A study by scientists in University of British Columbia have found interesting insight into the last few moments of a person dying. They now believe that the patients can still hear what is being said to them when they are nearing the end of their lifeEven when the patient is unconscious and close to death, they still have their sense of hearing and can hear what their loved ones are saying to them.
Scientists reveal dying patients CAN hear last words of family at bedside as they slip away
The phenomenon of dying is being studied by the scientists more seriously now. Here is a detailed article around near death experiences and what really happens when people die.

freedom of expression is an excuse to abuse Hindus
We have talked about how the so-called liberals at the behest and backing of the Congress Party and the leftists have always undermined expression and freedoms. The call for freedoms - specifically in case of stand-ups of today - is only used to abuse Hindus and Hinduism. It has nothing to do with “speaking truth to power”. Here is a great example of how a stand-up was made to apologize to the Maharashtra alliance of Congress. Of course, no one asked why! Such is the selectivity of the need to our freedoms in the liberals’ world.
Agrima Joshua apologising to Maha Vikas Aghadi alliance shows that the Woke slogan of ‘speaking truth to power’ is only an excuse to undermine Hindu interests
how AAP politician planned massacres of Hindus
What happened in Delhi in the name of anti-CAA protests was a planned attack on the Hindus by a Muslim Aam Aadmi Party politician financed by many Islamist powers around the world.
Tahir Hussain admits that he, along with his brother Shah Alam, Arshad, Abid, Shahid, Irshad and several others were present at his residence. His office space is also in the same building from where the riots were launched. Tahir Hussain then discloses that on the 24th afternoon, his mobs started chanting ‘Allah Hu Akbar’ and ‘Maaro Maaro Kaafiro Ko Maaro’.
The information coming out from the chargesheet filed in the Delhi Riots case are very revealing and worth reading… and remembering.

Great White Sharks in NYC waters: At least three great white sharks lurk in the NYC beach waters. Another large one is moving that way, while a possible fifth maneater — the venerable Mary Lee, all 16 feet and 3,456 pounds of her — is also likely hanging around her old chomping grounds on the Jersey shore. chinese obsession with terror
Terror is the cost-effective way for the unscrupulous to achieve their power objective by using the poor and the uneducated brainwashed fanatics as canon-fodder. China, which considers Islam as a mental disease and Muslims as sub-human in it’s own province Uighur, is now using the unemployable youth in a gutted economy like Pakistan to resurrect a terror force in PoK again. This will have consequences. In India and in Pakistan as well. Hopefully in China as well one day.
