It's Only When We're Pulled Off Balance That We're Reminded to Stand Tall
With spring in full swing, school curriculums marching to year’s end, and myriad celebrations populating our already busy calendars, May brings a predictable surge of demands, and the stress and anxiety that can inevitably accompany them. With no let up in obligations and deadlines, the ever lengthening days can tempt and even require us to pack ever more into our schedules, self care and balance can get trickier to maintain for even the most disciplined of us.
The nicer weather and longer days can tempt us to feel like there is more time to use, and many of us are tackling projects and goals with more energy, getting things done, and feeling the satisfaction of channeling our energy productively. But self care and sleep can also take a hit during this season, and it isn’t hard to tip out of balance as we struggle to meet our many demands and priorities.
Coincidentally, or perhaps not so coincidentally, May also marks Mental Health Awareness Month, a month dedicated to content raising awareness about mental health and fighting the stigma that too often bars those in need from getting help.
This month’s digest is full of reminders for balance and self renewal, and it is coming to you on a busy Monday morning in hopes you might take a few moments for yourself, and find a post or two that inspire you to prioritize balance and mental wellness.
Wishing you a beautiful month of renewal, self awareness, and a mindset of growth.
