Fearing Anxiety Only Escalates It
How we think about anxiety when it strikes can determine how we experience it. There is anxiety that is useful, and escalated anxiety that is not so useful and more like panic than anxiety. That’s the difference between anxiety with a small ‘a’ and Anxiety with a capital ‘A’. When we fear anxiety, we stop using it to our advantage. 
Here are some ideas about how destructive anxiety-about-anxiety can be, how to deescalate panic if it strikes, as well as the power of self kindness and optimism to improve relationships and cultivate resilience.
