Anxiety Can Be Both Healthy and Unhealthy; Here's How to Know the Difference.
May can bring lovely weather and the promise of a more relaxed season, but it can also bring chaotic busy-ness and the anxiety that can so often accompany it. This is the time of the year I am often asked the difference between normal anxiety and problem anxiety. Since anxiety can be both a normal emotion, and a symptom of mental illness, determining the difference isn’t always easy.
As mental health awareness month draws to a close, this digest is dedicated to raising awareness about mental health and anxiety in particular. Included are some key articles about how to define anxiety, some common myths about anxiety and how to combat them, as well as some strategies for taking control in yourself, and helping others to do the same.
Lastly, I’ve included one of my favorite compilations of celebrity videos detailing their personal struggles with anxiety and depression. These powerful mental health ambassadors deeply inspire me in their fight against stigma, and deliver the powerful message that we are not alone.
