Welcome to the seventh issue of the End Times Berean Watchman Report!
In this issue, we will be checking up on the latest regarding Israel.

Iran and Russia Remain Close
Iran has continued its cozy relationship with Russia, and for its part, Russia seems to be cooperating in sheltering them against Israel in Syria. And while Syria never seems to thank Israel for their help, I think they appreciate their efforts to keep Iran in check.
Three Horns Uprooted by a Little Horn
One of the mysteries regarding the rise of the Antichrist is the identification of the three horns that Daniel tells us will be uprooted by the little horn. We know from the overall vision that the little horn represents the Antichrist and that the three horns are rulers of nations that he will overthrow.
While I was thinking about the horns, there before me was another horn, a little one, which came up among them; and three of the first horns were uprooted before it. This horn had eyes like the eyes of a human being and a mouth that spoke boastfully. – Daniel 7:8 (NIV)
This may be something that will only be seen near the beginning of the Antichrist’s 42 month reign on the earth, but it may also be something that has already started happening.
One way to potentially view this prophecy, is through the lens of the current nations surrounding Israel in the Middle East. In that case, the first horn to have been uprooted would have been Iraq and Saddam Hussein, who was executed in 2006. The second horn would have then been Libya and Muammar Gaddafi, who was executed in 2011. Turkey supported the overthrow of both those countries, by the way.
If those identifications are correct, who might be the third horn? We’ll have to wait and see, but I have been suspecting that it will be Syria since Turkey is also involved there. Syria has been in trouble since the initiation of their civil war in 2011, but so far Assad is hanging on, so who knows?
Upcoming Elections in Libya
But in more positive news, a candidate for the next Libyan president, General Khalifa Haftar, announced that if elected, he would seek to join the Abraham Accords and normalize ties with Israel. The elections are scheduled for December 24th; however, one might suspect that Turkish influence will be brought to bear against Haftar’s election hopes. Remember to pray for this election as we continue to pray for the Peace of Jerusalem.
Abraham Accords Still Moving Forward
The accords, begun in September of 2020, are continuing to strengthen. The sentiments expressed above by a hopeful candidate in Libya are encouraging, but Joel Rosenberg, in an interview on Nov. 8th with CBN, shared his opinion that Saudi Arabia, will soon join them as well.

In the same article, CBN quoted Mike Pompeo’s thoughts about where we are with the Abraham Accords:
“I think this changed history. I don’t think it’s going to go back. I think the people of these nations can see that this is the rightful Jewish homeland. It ought to be recognized as such,” said Pompeo. “It’s not good foreign policy to have the destruction of Israel at the center of how you think about the world. And the commerce, the trade, the defense work that will be done between these nations will create prosperity for people in every one of them. And I think that’s why ultimately there’ll be many other nations that will see this as both right and righteous.”  – Mike Pompeo
It is also noteworthy that after a decade of severed relations, the UAE met with Syria to discuss to restoring their relationship. Since the UAE was one of the original signers of the Abraham Accords, the restoration of ties between the UAE and Syria would likely also benefit developing an improved relationship with Israel. If this progresses, we may have to look for a new candidate for the third horn, or it might cause Iran and Turkey to make a more aggressive move towards Syria.

Closer Ties Between Christians and Israelis
It’s great to see Jews embracing the support of the Christian community and the Christian community stepping up its support for Israel.
In advance of the 5th annual Christian Media Summit, President of Israel Isaac Herzog sent the following message to Christian supporters of Israel:
“We know that we can count on you, dear friends and allies in the Christian world, to stand with us in the fight against terror and to be our partners in the efforts to counter the lies and spread the truth about Israel, as well as to be our partners in promoting the spirit of peace in the Abraham Accords.” – Israel Herzog

Final Comments
I thank God that we have lived to see these days, and that God’s light shines on us bringing us salvation through his son, Jesus Christ. Now, let us as “the islands” wait in hope for the strong arm of the Lord to deliver Israel and “bring justice to the nations.”
“Listen to me, my people; hear me, my nation: Instruction will go out from me; my justice will become a light to the nations. My righteousness draws near speedily, my salvation is on the way, and my arm will bring justice to the nations. The islands will look to me and wait in hope for my arm.
Isaiah 51:3-4 (NIV)
