Sue, Libby and Kelly have been supporting carers practically and emotionally throughout the last week including PIP applications and other advocacy services.
Cuppa Care App Launch

We have been working with Sara Dunn to develop this fantastic app which is available free on Android and Apple platforms. Each part of the App has a series of Sips (Hence a Cuppa) 6 are available to Carers which include useful information on Carers rights and Assessments and Stress management. Please download the app and let us have your views.

Libby is the project Lead on this great project and when the App launches it will provide a comprehensive resource for all unpaid carers in Dorset. It will highlight discounts and maybe if your lucky vouchers for local attractions, the aim is to create a virtual version of the hub available 24hrs a day. The image may change in due course.
Development of Carers Cookbook
Kelly is creating a cookbook which focuses on one pot or tray bake cooking which will be quick nutritious and fun. It’s going to include a series of how to guides and useful hints and tips with great pictures.
Arts and crafts resources 2021 2021
Mark and Kelly are creating a series of beginners workshops which can be accessed online, the 1st of which will be Lino-printing on Wednesday 10th March 11am. Additionally Kelly has been adding loads of crafty ideas on the facebook group which we hope you will find useful and fun.
On line Social events
We have several on line events which we host regularly including Bingo and Quiz nights. The next event is a Bingo Night on Facebook on the 14th February. We also host Cuppa and Chat every Wednesday mornings which is also on FB and its free which is a bonus.
Management Report
Sue runs the Hub and makes everything work and she has been busy spreading news of our services to the various agencies which operate with the Dorset Council area. Sue attended several meetings and Webinars keeping up to date on current policies and procedures which affect unpaid carers in Dorset. She also plays an important role in advocating for carers and helping to update guidance for carers.
