Hi.
Are you a tiger?
Let me explain.
A few weeks ago I was listening to Noah Kagan’s podcast episode with his buddy about their ayahuasca experiences. Ayahuasca, if you don’t know, is a psychedelic that has risen in popularity in recent years thanks to some very influential people talking about it and its ability to help people get clarity on their life.
I’ve had multiple friends and people I know who took part in an ayahuasca ceremony, and they said it was life-altering in the best way.
In Noah’s episode with his friend Billy, Billy talks about his own experience and how at one point during the ceremony he got the feeling that he was a tiger.
He even growled (not in a mean way) at the shaman when the shaman came over.
He was a tiger. He embodied a tiger.
I laughed out loud when I heard this story, because a) it’s ridiculous and b) it’s been ridiculously powerful in Billy’s life.
This morning I woke up not wanting to do the things I need to do today. I could avoid them, but that only amounts to anxiety if anxiety = anticipation of future pain.
So today I’m choosing to be a tiger.
I’m choosing to be a tiger in business.
I’m choosing to be a tiger in my personal life, with all the things going on (car needing repairs, pregnant wife, holidays).
I’m choosing to not avoid things today, but face them head on.
Will you be a tiger today?
John
