The Disruptors are getting close to our next set of hackathons, as well as lining up work for 2019 in Australia and around the world. To help support this diverse and global growth strategy, we have to keep innovating around our tools of communication and engagement. And we frequently come across tools that can help change the way we and our clients can work. So we thought we would share a few tools that you can use in your businesses to help improve your innovation journey, too.
  1. Canvanizer: This site allows you to build one page business plans, design canvases, and brainstorming sessions, and to share these efforts with your teams. It’s a useful documentation tool for workshops where you need to think about how to solve a problem, or to help design a business strategy.
  2. Apa Scrum: This service is a full scrum management tool for teams starting out with Scrum, and needing to keep track of a number of projects. It’s a simple interface and has built in Burndown charts, as well as cumulative flow and time diagrams.
  3. SMAPLY: This is probably the best customer journey mapping tool we know. While you can produce a customer journey canvas with Canvanizer, the SMAPLY tool is report-ready, includes a bunch of templates and even has workshop tools.
  4. Twine: Another stickynote tool, perhaps, but Twine is designed for explaining complex stories or systems visually. It’s useful when you’re trying to develop a solution that involves many dependent variables and stakeholders.
  5. SessionLab: This is a rich library of workshop facilitation tools that can help ensure your innovation sessions are always fresh and different.
