DigitallyDownloaded.net Newsletter - April 16, 2022

It was a week of relatively disappointing reviews this week, but given that we’re in the middle of April and only finally had one of those for the first time, it’s hardly the end of the world. Cat Cafe Manager seems like a delight, though. Be sure to check out Lindsay’s review on that one.
It was probably just as well that we didn’t have too many game reviews to cover, anyway, since we had a magazine to get out the door, and the April edition of the Dee Dee Zine is a delight. I think you’ll love reading through this one. From anime to books, film to Japanese travel, it’s not just a resource for people that like games, but people that love Japanese art and culture in general.
Finally, be sure to check out the amazing coverage from our friends in the independent media. We’ve carefully selected the outlets we support for the incredible and unique contributions they make to our industry. It’s a tough gig, being an independent games outlet. These people inspire us with what they do every week.
Happy gaming, folks, and thanks for reading!

What's In The April Dee Dee Zine?
The April edition of the Dee Dee Zine is out TOMORROW, and have we got a great bunch of features for you:
  • Film, book and anime reviews!
  • A summary of all the best games based on Middle Eastern fantasy and One Thousand And One Nights.
  • An in-depth analysis on NES-era JRPGs, and what makes them such a joy (if a brutal joy) to this day.
  • So much more!
All our usual features are there: the nonogram and crossword, the story featuring the DDNet mascots, the start of a new comic series, photo of the month, and so on.
If you love Japanese games, art and culture, this magazine is the one for you, and all you need to do is back us on Patreon. Just $1/month gets you the magazine each month for absolutely no other cost. Support us here.
And if “subscribing” doesn’t sound like your cup of tea, the magazines are available for individual purchase, too. Here’s our store.
