Hey all,
I’ve been pretty burned out the last week, so I didn’t get much done on the Gem Worlds front. For the week before that, a couple of good changes:
- Gem Worlds now runs on Mac! If you have a Mac-based OS, please give it a try, and let me know how the experience is. (I haven’t used Macs much since the early 90s, so …)
- I shipped an updated demo (v0.4.0) with a couple of extra buttons, that hopefully encourage buying and trying new skills out.
Based on the little feedback I received so far, it seems like the game is missing something: emergent gameplay. Things natively interacting with each other in interesting ways.
So, I added a (tentative, disturbingly large) list of around 19 elements to add to the game, test, and see what works and what doesn’t. This will probably be the last demo update, and the last major functionality update, before the release (pending any player feedback).
