I don’t know how or why spring cleaning became a thing, but it’s something I’ve been feeling an itch to do lately. As some of you probably know, I own quite the collection of books. After packing some of those books up this week, my shelves are stuff full (instead of overflowing). However, it made me want to start doing some sort of tech clean up, as well.
I unsubscribed from a few podcasts and I’ll probably try to unsubscribe for more even though I always feel bad. While these aren’t physical things that clutter up my room, they do feel like they clutter up my time some days. While I enjoy The Ringer’s podcasts, some are just too frequent for me to keep up with if I’m not 100% into it.
I’m still subscribed to over 40 podcasts and have several that I listen to based on the topic or the guest. As I have more and more podcast editing to do, it’s something I still want to cut down on a little more. I don’t like having a ton pile up because I always feel compelled to listen to everything (although, I’m getting better at deleting episodes that don’t interest me as much).
I’ve been wanting to tackle cleaning up my music for a while now, too, but that’s a task that’ll take quite some time. Instead, I think my energy will be better spent finally reformatting my show notes for Welcome to Geekdom since I was lazy and never got around to finishing that. I just might have to clean up my music library once that is done, though. Will anyone else be doing some spring cleaning?
