Things you should read, look at, or listen to.

Just a few things to touch on this week since I spent a good chunk of it hastily finishing up Pet Sematary and editing podcasts. Hope you all have a wonderful weekend.

Doom Patrol Brings DC's Wackiest Characters To Life
After a single episode and their appearance in Titans, I’m already enjoying Doom Patrol and its characters. There’s something about them that draws you in. We get a good sense of who each character is in the pilot, except for Cyborg, who hasn’t been introduced just yet. A new episode airs today and I’m looking forward to checking it out.
After watching The Umbrella Academy, I’ve found myself leaning more towards the atypical heroes. For some reason I’m still watching all of the CW superhero shows, despite my waning interest in them. However, part of me feels like I need to complete them just because I did really enjoy them all at one point.
It’s not superhero fatigue. I’m still excited for the movies and shows, just not every single one of them. Doom Patrol is bringing characters to the screen who we haven’t really seen much of before. Negative Man, Crazy Jane, Elasti-Woman, and Robotman all reside with The Chief, who gives them a safe place to call home. They’re an unlikely bunch, which means I’m fully expecting unlikely stories to come out of the remainder of the season.
