A Communique for film/tv/vr/media professionals

Hey Gang,
Sorry for the emails so close together but I wanted to make sure that you had the latest information about the upcoming January 25th VR/360 Night event at Littlstar.
As I mentioned earlier, this event is limited attendance. However, I found out late yesterday just how LIMITED that is. I only have access to 25 spaces for this event in total (not including those people who have already registered!). So, what I am saying is, please take a moment and secure yourself a spot (TODAY if POSSIBLE!). I also found out we have confirmed our other two speakers (shout out to Littlstar and Abelcine!) which we’ll announce on the event page and social media soon!
Cheers,
Daron

MENTAL NOTE: I notice that a lot of people have hit reply to this email newsletter looking to connect with me on something. I hate that I keep missing little nuggets sent from everyone!! The mailbox used for this letter isn’t optimal for connecting with me (I don’t check it very often..). If you want to connect with me, be sure to follow me on Twitter @daronljenkins @nyfilmloft or Instagram @daron_jenkins_919 or (and most importantly!!) on LinkedIN (http://linkedin.com/in/daronjenkins)
If you need to discuss a business deal or looking to connect for a consultation then my website is best at http://www.daronjenkins.com
Of course, the best way to reach me is…come to an event!
You should try to make this if you can!!

PS: I’m moderating a actor conversation at this Mixknowledgy event @ WeWork soho (Jan 12..TOMORROW!). Here’s the lineup and if you want to attend and save 50%, use the Student Ticker option when you purchase (you don’t need to be a student, but they let me know you can use that!) GREAT READING: I stumbled onto this new online magazine called Abernathy, and they just launched a Tech Spotlight series. It highlights black professionals in tech, from freelance developers to non-technical founders. Here’s their first published profile: Richard Kerby!

GET OPTIMIZED: If anyone is in need of a review of their LinkedIN profile, please reach out to Freda L. Thomas! You might have met her before at one of my events or heard her speak at an industry event. She’s wonderful and knowledgeable and can really help you power up your LinkedIN presence! She’s also a LinkedIn expert that is ranked top in search in her category at LinkedIn Profinder.
She’s offering a FREE profile review for a limited time so why not take advantage. LinkedIN has been invaluable resource for me and it helps to have a profile that attracts the right people to you!
Here’s the link to her calendar so you can schedule a review NOW:

SPREAD THE WORD: In case you’re interested, I came across a new film distribution platform that is setting up and allowing festivals to create their own column, so they can make residual income over the life of the content you helped to bring in. Regardless if the films get in your festival or not, they all have an opportunity to be viewed. Check ColumnSpace out HERE or visit http://www.columnspace.com/
