Hello friends,
Long time no see. I’ve been busy for the past few weeks and started taking a screenwriting course to help me produce my first feature-length screenplay. I recommend it, and by the way, it’s free.
Besides, I relocated to Ténérife and am currently on workation with fellow remote workers at Nine Coliving. It’s a great place to find inspiration and write more.
Enough with the rambling: I have an announcement to make.
This newsletter will now be focused on scriptwriting.
I know many of you are interested in copywriting, and I will still include tips to write good blog posts and boost your creativity. But if it’s not ok with you - I understand.
Now, give a chance to this issue and if you find nothing of value to you, please feel free to unsubscribe.

Creating great characters
Let’s start with this Screenwriting Emergency Toolkit that every screenwriter should know. This will help you overcome writer’s block, and much more.
Gilbert Bassey wrote this whole guide on creating great characters, and starts with a very true statement:
“Nothing will ruin your story like weak characters, and consequently, nothing will elevate your story like great characters.”
Funnily, this became really meaningful after watching Jupiter’s Legacy and writing an entire article on how weak characters ruined the whole story.
This led me to dive into character creation - specifically what makes characters great.
Minda Wei explains in this post how to give depth to your characters’ personalities and paint rich, interesting lives for them. Again, a great character is an essential ingredient to a great screenplay.
Finally, this blog post will walk you through character development and how to create characters your readers won’t forget.
