Daily Overview
Soybean fields surround the town of Campo Novo do Parecis, located in the state of Mato Grosso in west-central Brazil. As the second largest producer of soybeans worldwide, Brazil accounts for 30% of the global production of the crop. Brazilian production is slightly less than that of the United States; however, its soybean exports to China are on the rise amid U.S.-China trade tensions.
