Panteón Civil San Nicolás Tolentino is a cemetery covering about 230 acres (93 hectares) in Mexico City, Mexico. Its namesake, Nicholas of Tolentino, was an Italian saint and mystic and is known as the Patron of Holy Souls. The colorful gravestones seen here are typical of cemeteries throughout Mexico, as they are meant to be an expression of culture and often reflect the deceased’s hobbies, lifestyle or profession.
