Naoshima is an island town located in the Seto Inland Sea, part of Japan’s Kagawa Prefecture. With a total land area of about 5.5 square miles (14.22 square km), the island is home to upwards of 3,100 people. It is known for its many contemporary art museums, including the Chichu Art Museum, Benesse House, and the Naoshima Fukutake Art Museum.
