A cold start tomorrow but another sunny day will help to warm our spirits
If blue skies encourage you to rise and grind, you’re gonna check all the things off the to-do list tomorrow. But if you need some extra help in shaking off the sleepies, Mother Nature has got you covered. Expect frigid morning air as capable as caffeine in provoking abrupt wakefulness. After a start in the mid to upper 20s, afternoon temperatures kindly rebound into the low 50s. We’ll eke out one more dry day on Friday with a temperature jump to near 60°F before water resumes falling from the sky this weekend.— Lauren Casey

600 homes in Florida have been evacuated. Tree debris from Hurricane Michael (2018) is helping the fire spread.
Three wildfires, named the Chipola Complex, have burned over 34,000 acres in Florida’s panhandle. The fires are impacting communities that still have not fully recovered from Hurricane Michael in 2018. The fire is following the path of debris left by the category 5 hurricane, that claimed the lives of 36 people.
The largest of the three fires is only 10 percent contained as of Wednesday, March 8. So far over 1000 homes have been evacuated.
