We are tracking yet another atmospheric river over the Pacific Northwest. However, this time, the main axis of the river will be far enough north of Portland that we expect only to be clipped by periods of light showers. Rainfall totals of about a quarter to maybe a half an inch are possible with this system. Otherwise, expect cloudy skies and highs around 50°. Overnight, the temperatures will drop in the mid-40s.
The NWS is monitoring the air quality in the southern Willamette Valley. If the weather ends up being drier than predicted, Air Stagnation Advisories may be issued.
