The weather, currently.
Distaster fatigue is real, y'all. The blue tarps in this picture aren't from the tornado. The blue tarps are damage that still hasn't been repaired from Ida, or in some cases, possibly even Zeta. 2 major hurricanes and a strong tornado in back to back to back years here in SELA.
Tomorrow is the big Global Climate Strike organized by Friday’s for the Future. This year, the march is centered around demanding that world leaders prioritize people over profit. This youth-led movement is working to highlight the intersectional nature of the climate crisis while emphasizing how the climate emergency exasperates injustice.
Tomorrow all around the globe people will congregate in person and digitally to demand better from global leaders. You can find a local action or march near you using this map and more information here.

Climate Signals
43 of the 48 states that make up the contiguous U.S. will be warmer than normal in April, May, and June says @NOAA in its seasonal spring forecast.
This spring is going to be warmer than normal according to National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). This is bad news for the ongoing megadrought in the western United States. According to NOAA, almost all of the Lower 48 will be warmer than normal this spring and most will be drier.
NOAA climate scientist, Deke Arndt, said, “The reason the West is warming is climate change, especially over the multiple decade timeframe.”
This is the worst drought that the West has seen in 1,200 years. It is also a major driving factor in the worsening wildfire season.
