Apple’s latest unannounced product (a VR/AR headset) has been unofficially delayed to an unannounced later date, according to unnamed sources.
That’s the skinny from Bloomberg, which is claiming that the most hotly anticipated product of 2022 might get pushed back until 2023.
It’s a bummer, if true, but it’s not over yet – and let’s hope Apple can pull it out of the bag. After all, most of Apple’s major products go through some kind of development hell.
The first iPod, for example, was reportedly nearly pushed back when a nasty battery bug surfaced at the last minute.
But Tony Fadell, the ex-Apple executive in charge of the iPod’s development, brushed aside such fears, telling me in an interview that last-minute glitches were par for the course and NBD.
Let’s hope this is the case for Apple’s VR/AR headset. I can’t wait to strap it on!
