The money raised from this sale will go directly to Ukrainian artists, some of whom are right now fighting for their survival. The minting, sale and proceeds of the group poster is being done by a Ukrainian artist named Yana Hryhorenko who is now living in Kyiv, Ukraine. Her art is the striking red-faced one shown here I am not handling any of the minting, or money that is raised from the sale of this poster, as the Ukrainian artists know best where the money needs to go. I was told that several of the women with whom Yana works, that they need money to survive now.
Yana Hryhorenko is the organizer of the Ukrainian Women Photographers Organization, as I verified this with other artists in the group. You can view her Opensea account here: https://opensea.io/YanaHryhorenko?tab=created She has been very helpful during the quick planning of this art event, always extending a helping hand to me and is a respected artist among the group.

Sunflowers Inspired By Badass Ukrainian Woman
“Struggle on and be triumphant,” a quote by famous Ukrainian poet Taras Shevchenko is the theme of this show. And a great illustration of this bravery was exhibited in the video below:
UkraineWorld
Ukrainian woman confronts Russian soldiers in Henychesk, Kherson region. Asks them why they came to our land and urges to put sunflower seeds in their pockets [so that flowers would grow when they die on the Ukrainian land] https://t.co/ztTx2qK7kB
The design of the gallery was inspired by the Ukrainian woman who gave a Russian soldier some sunflower seeds, telling him to put them in his pocket so that when he dies on Ukraine soil, sunflowers will grow in him. Sunflower seeds cover the carpet and skies in the gallery, planting seeds of hope for peace.

ABOUT TARAS SHEVCHENKO
“Struggle on and be triumphant” comes from this poem:
And glory to you, dark-blue mountains,
Frost and snow protect you;
And to you, great-hearted heroes,
God does not forget you.
Struggle on—and be triumphant!
God Himself will aid you;
At your side fight truth and glory,
Right and holy freedom.
“Born into slavery (the form known as serfdom), Shevchenko gives voice to his people and epitomizes for Ukrainians the human struggle for freedom and dignity. Throughout the heroic protests of the “Revolution of Dignity,” as well as during Russia’s hybrid war in Eastern Ukraine, Shevchenko has been implicitly present as the people’s leader in the struggle for their rights and liberty. The many adaptations of one of the most canonic of his images in the Maidan protests – depicting him as the immediate participant of the resistance to the government’s bloody crackdown – provide undeniable proof for it.
HOW THIS EXHIBITION CAME TO BE
CryptoStella #117 Golden Ticket: Sunflowers Will Grow in Putin
CryptoStella #117 Golden Ticket: Sunflowers Will Grow in Putin
I was feeling helpless day after day of watching Russian soldiers kill innocent Ukrainians. I wanted to do something to help, so I first made the art above, Sunflowers Will Grow in Putin, for one of my collectors, a Golden Ticket winner. I wanted to do more and even though I am just one person, I wanted to do something besides feel helpless as the bloody slaughter in Ukraine carried on.
Then I saw @cabline1’s tweet in which she shared some amazing art from verified Ukrainian artists. I knew I had to do something. I decided to build an art show in my Cryptovoxels gallery to create one day of peace in the metaverse for some Ukrainian artists and to showcase their amazing art.
There is no war in the metaverse (yet), at least that’s the case for the Cryptovoxels metaverse. And even though it’s something small, and I’m only one person, I hope they can feel a tiny bit of peace and hope instead of the hell that they are going through.
If you made it through this entire article, thank you.
Struggle on and be triumphant,
