Your Thursday coronavirus briefing

Chicago Sun-Times Coronavirus News
Dear reader,
Since the start of the pandemic, we have sent this newsletter for 448 days in a row. With the state of Illinois moving into Phase 5, fully reopened, and with daily coronavirus briefings by IDPH ending this week, we will begin sending this newsletter weekly (instead of daily) on Friday, June 18.
We hope you share our cautious optimism that the volume of newsworthy coronavirus updates will continue steadily decreasing, and that this corresponds with the virus loosening its grip on our communities and our country.
We’ll continue to update our data page daily with the latest numbers from the state department of public health. To check those numbers daily, bookmark this link
