This week we’ll dive into Poké (Hawaiian for “to slice”). While the dish has been around for centuries, the present form of poké became popular around the 1970s in the Hawaiian islands and it conquered the world starting in the 2010s.
Poké is basically cubed raw fish, seasoned any way you want it. Eaten either on its own or over a bowl of sushi rice (hence the Poké Bowl). Think of it as deconstructed sushi. Let’s get to it and cook up some delicious Poké Bowl of your own.
