This week we’ll dive into Thailand’s most famous noodle stir fry, Pad Thai. It is commonly served as a street food and is typically made with rice noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or tofu, peanuts, a scrambled egg, and bean sprouts, among other vegetables.
Its full name, kway teow pad Thai, hints at its possible Chinese origins. Invented in the mid-20th century, the dish symbolizes Thai cooking for many Westerners and Thai alike. Let’s get to it and cook up some delicious Pad Thai of your own.
