Icon design: a user-driven approach | UX links - Issue #84

Hello there,

designing icons that can easily be recognized by most people is a hard task. Icons (even more so if they are not accompanied by text labels) are always ambiguous. For that reason, I found the approach in this week’s first link quite interesting – to start by gathering research data in form of user’s associations to base the design on.
