With the 2019 World Economic Forum’s Annual Meeting firmly in the rearview mirror, now is a good time to reflect on leadership. Storytelling and leadership have long gone hand in hand. After all, storytelling is what enables a leader to fill the gap from what is and what could be.

Mary Oliver has many great quotes but I do love this one about attention: “attention without feeling, I began to learn, is only a report. An openness — an empathy — was necessary if the attention was to matter.”
