Hey! It’s us again, the Comference crew. We’ve got two more exciting new speakers to announce for Comference. And since you are subscribed to the newsletter, you’re hearing about it before we announce it on our site and our social media. Thank you for following us here and getting your information directly from the source.
Aside from the two new speakers, we also want to introduce you to a plan we have for the Friday night: (Board) game night! We can’t be together physically, but that’s not going to stop us from having fun together by playing games.
Last but not least in this packed email you will find information on how to get and stay in touch with your fellow Comferencers through our Discord server.

Lineke Kerckhoffs-Willems
Lineke has been a software developer for a long time, but also an important person for diversity in the PHP community. She was in the leadership of PHPWomen and has always been vocal about the need for more diversity in the programming world. During Comference Lineke will go beyond the traditional ideas about diversity and give you some fresh new insights to think about.
Chris Hartjes
On Twitter and beyond, Chris is known as the Grumpy Programmer. But behind that grumpy persona he keeps a lot of knowledge on testing applications. In his talk at Comference he will not just give you the viewpoint of the grumpy programmer, but he will go beyond that to look at how testing works in the real world.
Game night
Despite us not being in the same room, we can still have fun and play board games. So when you’re done for the day with the information overload, join us for some fun and relaxation during the game night. We’ll have a whole range of suggested games waiting for you, but if you find some likeminded people you will of course be free to pick any other game and play together. Get to know your fellow Comferencers and have some fun in the process!
And for those who want to really invest themselves in an adventure, Erik Baars will be running an online D&D campaign. More information about the D&D campaign and how to sign up for that will follow.
To stay in touch with the other Comferencers, you are invited to join our Discord server. Discord will have a central place during Comference. It will be the place where you can ask questions to the speakers during or after talks, it is the place where we will post important announcements and it is the hallway track. At regular conferences the hallway track is one of the most important aspects of the conference, since that is where you can meet other attendees, whether they are old friends or new people. There is no real hallway in an online conference, but Discord will take that place. Use the below link to sign up for our Discord.
