The Colette Gazette - May 28, 2021
The mission of The Colette Louise Tisdahl Foundation is to improve outcomes of pregnancy, childbirth, prematurity, and infancy, as well as aid in the grieving process through financial assistance, education, and advocacy
Dear Friend,
I have to say that I am glad we are almost done with May. For those who know our story or who have followed along, May is a month filled with triggers and difficult anniversaries. May was the month I miscarried not once, but twice with Sweet Pea, when I was hospitalized while pregnant with Colette, and when Colette died.
But, even in the midst of all that, it is also the month in which Colette was born and when she lived her short life. As difficult as all these days and triggers are, I like to think about my dear daughter, her presence and time here on the planet, the inspiration she has given me and others, and the impact she has had on so many families.
In that vein, we have had a lot going on in May. We have had two great new Friday Fives, about parenting and lessons learned and then, from one of our advisory board members, Anna, a look at the do’s and do not’s of supporting a NICU parent. We also had two video presentations, one on nutrition after pregnancy loss and postpartum, and another on perinatal mental health. We also have so many more planned and in the works, but if there’s a topic you’re interested in or something you’d like to share, please email me.
Additionally, our silent auction has been hopping! We have incredible items available and from May 23 through May 31, all bids made (regardless of whether they won or not) are being matched up to a total of $5,023. Donations are also being matched under the same guidelines. We’re already over $4,000 toward the match and would love to hit the full $5,023 before the month ends!
Hope everyone has a peaceful, relaxing, fun long Memorial Day weekend!

What We're Doing
In honor of Colette’s life, any bid made in our Spring Silent Auction or donation made through May 31 will be matched by an anonymous donor up to a maximum of $5,023. There are amazing goodies in the silent auction and all proceeds go to our financial assistance fund!
