You can impress most hiring managers with only 3 contribs:
1) Something simple, built flawlessly. Seriously. Like 1 class, or a single js file.
2) Something complete. A small app / site / lib. Tests. Docs.
3) Something with a story (my fave!) Could be a single line of code.

Why LinkedIn is VERY Important in your Career by Nenne Adaora Nwodo
Hello everyone! I’ve seen a lot of people say that LinkedIn isn’t a good platform to get jobs and that so many spammers exist there. While different people could have different experiences, this could be misleading for people trying to kick off their career because they might think LinkedIn is actually bad and not take advantage of that website.
