Chris Lynch Writes Stuff - Issue #5

Hey there!
Thanks for being a subscriber (or if you’ve just followed the link on Twitter, get on and subscribe already!). It’s a bumper issue of the old newsletter this week with a huge Lucy Wilson giveaway and three episodes of The Soundclash dropping in rapid succession.
First up we have “Viva Las Llantwit”, a special short story that I wrote for the These 3 Streams Art and Literature Festival in Llantwit Major. It’s a fun little story about time travel, theme parks, fossil hunting, and how troublesome old stones can be. They remember things, I’ll put it that way.
Over in Soundclash land we’ve got a mix of guest specials with Rob Costello and Stacey Taylor both making return visits to the show. One episode, in particular, gets a little racy and is definitely Not Safe For Work.
I’ve also been spending a lot time looking at the state of open source software this week. This may seem like a seriously nerdy topic but, whether you realise it or not, open source sofware underpins much of the fundamental internet technology that we use every day. Nobody is unaffected when there trouble in open source land and there is trouble brewing…
As always, the feedback form on my website is open or you can reach me on most social media platforms. Hope you enjoy everything the newsletter has to offer this week!

Lucy Wilson: Viva Las Llantwit
Soundclash: The One Where Macho Man Takes A Day Off
Soundclash: The One Where Rob said words but different words came out of his mouth
Soundclash: The One You Can't Listen To In Work
The Cost of Open Source is Constant Vigilance
