– Consumer research startup Dscout has raised $70 million in Series C funding
– Impact Engine has closed $34 million of its targeted $150 million for its new private equity fund
– TimeDoc Health has raised $48.5 million in Series B funding
– World Business Chicago has announced a new focus on Fintech, and along with the announcement released a report on the state of the industry in Chicago.
– Popular Pays has been acquired by Lightricks. Meanwhile fitness startup MoveSpring has been acquired by Reward Gateway
– Cannabis giant Cresco Labs has acquired Columbia Care in a deal valued at around $2 billion, making Cresco Labs the 2nd largest cannabis company in the US.
– Newcity’s Design 50 includes a subcategory of innovators, incubators, and accelerators. Among the folks on the list: Betsy Ziegler, CEO of 1871, the CXO’s of mHub, the co-founders of Codeverse, Bernard Loyd of Boxville Marketplace and Urban Juncture, University of Chicago Arts L1 Fellows, and the co-founders of alt space Chicago.
