Competition is good for business

First, sorry for the late one this week but it’s been a crazy time. This one was going to be about Bellator’s double header but I’ll leave that for the end since something just happened with streaming MMA options that I have touched on before.
ONE Championship is coming to Prime Video, which is a pretty big move from the Singapore based MMA promotion.
If you remember, not that long ago I wrote about YouTube being a great viewing option for MMA, because it’s something everyone pretty much has access to if they have a device for viewing with internet access. I wouldn’t be surprised if they add Invicta FC in the Fall if ONE does well. Hopefully, it leads to them eventually putting on the show here in the U.S. they have been planning since before the pandemic.
Either way, if you’re getting tired of the UFC’s cut and paste events every weekend. It should make for a nice change.

Spectation Sports
In other news, in my efforts to focus more on up and coming fighters and competitors, I’ll be doing fighter profile pieces for Spectation Sports. It’s a new player in the streaming of combat sports and focuses on regional events. The fighters I have spoken with have been so great with making time to talk on fight week. I spoke with four competitors that fought at Showcase MMA 25, one returning to action after an eight-year layoff. Check out that story and others here:

Here’s all the Bellator content from last weeken and lucky enough, I was able to speak with Arlene Blencowe who came up short against Cyborg. Before the fights on the podcast we got some help from another well-known atomweight that competes for Invicta FC soon who helped us look at the fight before it happened. You can check out that interview here:

These are the updated rankings from after the event. Blencowe lost, but she didn’t lose her spot in the rankings and jumped up in the women’s pound-for-pound rankings over at Bellator. Read about it here:
