Pressure still makes diamonds

UFC 269
The last pay-per-view of the year for the UFC. I know Dustin Poirier lost but his namesake still holds true for him, Charles Oliveira, and Juliana Peña when you look at how they got to be in the cage for UFC 269, regardless of the outcome. Check out the piece I did for MMANews if you want to see what I took away from the event:
7 Takeaways From UFC 269: Oliveira vs. Poirier
Fubo Sports Network
Want to watch some free, high-level MMA and worry about getting in trouble for watching it? You probably have Fubo Sports Network and don’t even know about it. I did live results for the last three Lights Out Xtreme Fighting’s post-COVID-19 events (I know it’s not technically over) and the cards have been spectacular. If you need proof that the MMA fanbase is doing big numbers on the platform, the PFL just announced they will be doing their “Challenger Series” there in 2022 and utilize Fubo TV’s technology for voting and predictive games.
If you want to read about how Shawne Merriman and his Lights Out Xtreme Fighting promotion kind of spear-headed that move, read it about it here:

Self Defense
For those that don’t know and read my stuff. I am a student of martial arts have been one for almost 30 years, I hope to continue learning until the day I die.
That being said, in this day and age of social media, there are a lot of charlatans out here showing things on YouTube, Instagram, and Tik Tok that are showing things that will definitely lead you to more harm than survival. You might know who I am referring to by now, if not check out this video from Desus & Mero for a good laugh:

The man featured name is Dale Brown. His claim to his expertise is being a former army paratrooper. Now, with my own experience I know that is not enough to be an expert in self-defense but I still posed the question on Quora if that is a legit bullet point to be considered an expert. I made sure to ask other martial artists and self-defense instructor’s and the answer is, “no.”
But you can read them in more detail here:

Be aware, be vigilant and be safe. See y'all in the next newsletter.
