Bellator 275
Bellator’s show in Dublin last weekend might have gone under the radar for the modern MMA fan but it was an event you probably should go back and watch. The main event was Gegard Mousasi vs. Austin Vanderford who was undefeated before he ran into the current Bellator middleweight champ. Mousasi made quick work of Vanderford who was no slouch making his way through Bellator’s rankings to get his title shot. Imagine seeing Mousasi versus someone like Israel Adesanya. Maybe someday, for now check out the results of Bellator 275 here:

The co-main event has Sinead Kavanagh face Leah McCourt in a fight that myself and a lot of other fans thought McCourt would have won. However, Kavanagh made her presence known as one of Bellator’s formidable featherweights in the fight when she not only did better on the ground against McCourt than fans gave her credit for before the fight, but she fought through a knee injury and won.
The win gets her a rematch against current Featherweight Champion, Cris Cyborg but we’ve seen that fight and the first one left little desire to see a second fight. I think the real fight to make would be if Bellator signed Kayla Harrison and gave her a shot at Cyborg. As of now, Harrison is still a free agent but it looks like the PFL seems pretty certain she’ll re-sign with them. You can read more about that over at MyMMANews.

The picks will be coming later this week.
No more parlays from me but the co-main event is currently being worked on since Rafael dos Anjos and Rafael Fiziev are off and the UFC is scrambling to get something going to replace it.
