What is Twitter Blue and is it worth it? Twitter Blue is the PAID version of the Twitter app that gives you access to exclusive features for about $3/month.

Okay, so first thing first, let’s talk about what worth it even means. So typically there are 3-4 things that businesses are always focusing on; awareness, nurturing, sales, doing it again.
Remember that anything your business has to pay for should be seen as an investment and those require a good ROI. So whether you purchase or not make sure you have a strategy.
Based on my experience as an entrepreneur and social media strategist I set out to solve the mystery, “Is Twitter Blue Worth It?” I started by making three categories; useful, both, and not as useful. After using Twitter Blue for almost 3 months I took each Twitter Blue feature and placed it in a category.
A GOAT lookin at a GOAT!
A GOAT lookin at a GOAT!
So lets start off with the useful list. Coming in as most valuable to a business is the top articles feature. In short, this feature allows you to see the top 25 most circulated articles among your community. As a social media strategist this made me smile, the ability to see the trending news and conversations from MY community? Its GENIUS! This alone sold me!
Coming in second is the bookmark folders. Its exactly what it says it is a feature where you can finally prioritize your saved tweets, privately. IYKYK, the anxiety about what you can tweet and like as a business owner can be crippling. Now we can compartmentalize our variety of our favorites without having to search through it all later.
Honorable mention to the usefuls is the infamous undo tweet feature. The undo tweet feature is NOT an editing feature but an “oops almost sent that” button. You can set the undo tweet time to 60,30,20,10, or 5 seconds.
Let’s sandwich in the not so usefuls to make it seem less unimpressive. If you like aesthetics then you’ll love these features and I’m sorry I made them seem insensitive, don’t cancel me.
So let’s talk colorways. You know how everything is usually blue on Twitter welllll you can make it a different color like orange or pink, that’s courtesy of the themes feature with Twitter Blue. In-app perks weren’t enough, Twitter added a custom app icon feature. This means you can change the color of the app on your homepage. They have a variety of colors, custom designs, and seasonal choices.
These weren’t the features that got me to sign up but they are a pretty dope bonus.
I mean they just aren't my favorite.

Now that the important things are out of the way lets talk about the features that help make $3/month a fair price. The reader feature allows you to scroll
Meh.
Meh.
So remember, worth is subjective but for the most part I’d think most business owners will agree with the above. I’ve been using Twitter Blue for almost 3 months and I have to admit, I wasn’t fond of the initial idea of having to pay but I use it to grow my business every day. Below you’ll find a video going over some details of every feature and how I use them in my business:
