We are once again experiencing that end of the School Year feeling of joy as students and term-time staff prepare for a well-deserved holiday break. Even for those in Central Services who work year round it’s still a break–a quieter time to focus on evaluating, planning and projects.
The last week of the Summer Term has been incredibly busy; we’ve had celebrations, transitions and farewells; concerts, and wonderful IB exam results–see below for a selection.
There will be no regular weekly BSN News & Jobs during the holiday period, but don’t worry, if we advertise any exciting vacancies, we’ll let you know.
Sixth Form students at the BSN have maintained the very high standards of previous years in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) and Career-related Programmes (IBCP) after receiving their results this week.
Our inspirational and energetic CEO/Principal of the last 4 years, Kieran Earley, is leaving the BSN to take up an appointment as Headteacher of a Grammar School in Devon, UK, in September. Kieran’s own reflections on his time at BSN and the concept of legacy make for an interesting read:
The ELT has been appointed by the Board of Governors, with the full support of the OR (Works Council), to lead the BSN until August 2020 at which time, a new CEO/Principal will be appointed. The ELT will comprise Sue Aspinall, Headteacher at Junior School Vlaskamp, Stuart de Booij, Chief Financial Officer and Paul Topping, Headteacher at Senior School, Voorschoten.
