The British School in The Netherlands
There’s always a lot going on at BSN. For example, one of our big, exciting upcoming events is TEDx Youth@BSN in November. The Theme is ‘Breaking the Mould’ and we are in the process of confirming speakers and workshop leaders who have something inspiring to say about globalisation, the environment, sustainability, technology and education. More on this in a future edition.

We couldn’t do without our fantastic Communications department to share our stories, news and events, both internally and externally so everyone is informed and enthusiastic. At peak times, we need a little extra assistance to do it justice, and so, we have a couple of flexible, temporary Communication vacancies. This could be your experience working in the team:

“Working in the Communication Department for a school of such high calibre requires a great service-minded attitude, as well as an ability to build relationships and sometimes navigate new systems and areas, which can necessitate a steep learning curve but which is always exceptionally rewarding when you get it right! The passion and dedication that the BSN has for education that is high-quality, boundary-pushing, and develops the whole-child is inspiring. This extends to the way the BSN look after their staff. Students and staff alike are given daily opportunities to pursue their passions and truly shine in doing what they love. And, working in Comms you get to experience and tell the story of all these fantastic things that happen across the organisation!”
-Caitlin Watson, Social Media Specialist

“I love working in the Communications team. We work hard and there is always lots to do, but everyone is engaged and focused on supporting the BSN and all of the incredible teachers and staff that work tirelessly to improve student outcomes.
I appreciate that my managers trust my abilities and allow me to take ownership of projects and campaigns, but that the team also works collaboratively and actively supports one another. This creates a very positive work environment.”
-Elizabeth de Libero, Digital Communications Project Administrator

We are also looking for a Senior Application Manager/Developer–this is an important position within the school and also a challenging one to fill. Help is appreciated in spreading the word if you know anyone who could be interested.

Finally, we are inviting teachers who know they will be moving on in September 2020 and are open to considering a position at BSN, to register their initial interest by submitting their CV on our career page, here. This is not a formal application.
