It’s been a very active week for staff here at the BSN!
With The Netherlands’ flat landscapes and many cycle paths, it’s no surprise that cycling is heavily ingrained in Dutch culture. (Did you know that there are over 18 million bicycles in The Netherlands, with 1.2 million new ones sold every year?) The Dutch cycle everywhere, no matter the weather – on rainy days, you’ll often see people cycling in head-to-toe rain gear. It’s no wonder – what better way to get around, and enjoy some beautiful Dutch scenery to boot?

Following its successful introduction last year – which, if you’re a longtime subscriber, you may have even read about in a previous edition of News and Jobs – this week marks the second BSN Cycle to Work Week. In honour of National Cycle to Work Day, this week we’re encouraging staff to hop on their bikes and cycle to work. By snapping a #BSNCycleSelfie, staff can win a (mystery) prize! We’ve had a number of BSN staff taking part and have enjoyed seeing everyone’s entries so far.

Staff health and well-being are important to us at the BSN, and BSN Cycle to Work Week is just one example of that. We offer a wide variety of well-being initiatives for staff, aimed at aiding staff in staying healthy and balanced. You can read more about these in this issue of BSN News and Jobs.

Read on to see our latest vacancies – who knows, soon you could be joining us in cycling to work.
