This week saw our junior schools reopen for on-campus schooling with due health and safety measures in place, as endorsed by the Dutch government. This was a big step for staff, students and parents, who had become used to a new normal after eight weeks of only remote schooling. It is a return to familiar territory, but not exactly a return to old routines. More accurately, it is a new phase, a transition. In consideration thereof, parents were given the option to send their child(ren) to school on alternate days, with remote learning continuing on the non-campus days; or, to continue with entirely remote learning.
This new phase will no doubt have plenty of new challenges. In due course, the existing arrangements will be reviewed and necessary adaptions made. With our strong and collaborative leadership team behind our dedicated staff, we will continue to evolve and learn from experience.
