And here’s the best part…YOU DON’T NEED TO RUN A MARATHON (or even a 10K for that matter) TO BECOME SOMEONE THAT MOVES!! Honouring your body with a couple of, what I like to call “yoga drills” for 15 minutes is a great way to start the day. WALKING is a wonderful form of movement that’s often underestimated in its power to improve circulation.
If you can normalise the idea of movement in your mind, getting moving will instantly become easier. A lot of us self-sabotage our physical health by perceiving exercise as something that is difficult or painful or requires a specific goal.
Do you think a five-year-old has a goal to smash her hula hoop practice in record time? OF COURSE NOT! Children are great teachers, they love to move because 1. We were BORN TO MOVE and 2. They haven’t been conditioned to create rules and limitations around what movement needs to mean.
Move for the sake of moving. Breathe better to feel alive. Play to come back to an open heart and mind.
NOTE: to get the most out of this flow, breathe in and out through your NOSE. Your nose warms, filters and humidifies incoming air and provides efficient body oxygenation and good blood flow.
Try it, save it, repeat it. Let me know how you get on!
Keep breathing, Love Georgie x
