I try and avoid the news as much as I can and find out what I need to through other means. However, the recent happenings are pretty unavoidable. And I don’t avoid the news because I don’t care by the way, I care immensely. But, you can’t pour from an empty cup. And every time I watch it, I feel empty. These are not easy times or circumstances and as always, everyone’s experience is somewhat unique which can sometimes lead to feelings of isolation.
I’ve noticed a lot of the people in my circle and community have been feeling isolated, disconnected and in a state of dread for what’s the come. So I’ve started a 15 minute breath work session every morning at 8:00am GMT time on my Instagram channel @breathe_with_georgie.
We’re exploring self regulation techniques, having a natter and drinking tea. Even just having a morning ‘check in’ can be massively beneficial to avert those solitary feelings.
