The speed at which the cornovirus pandemic is spreading is certainly alarming.
One aspect I find interesting is how it will impact “traditional” B2B companies that have been slow or resistant to embracing remote work.
Will this pass quickly—then everyone will be expected to go back to punching the clock on-site again for 8-10 hours a day? Or will there be a groundswell movement to allow people to work-from-anywhere more often?
Researchers have been touting the benefits of working remotely for years (see examples here
). So maybe something positive will come from these scary and trying times, in terms of happier, more productive workers.
